true vintage 1970's (1976 chad print) Emilio Pucci made in Florence Saks Fifth Avenue Boutique dress in a more rare cotton sateen with a vibrant and saturated pink and white signature print... just gorgeous!

Emilio Pucci was born in 1914 into one of Florence, Italy’s oldest noble families and as such he would live and work in the Pucci Palace for most of his life.  He was a politician, an Olympian/Sportsman, a pilot during World War II, an academic scholar, and of course a fashion designer.

The first clothing designed by Emilio Pucci was skiwear for a college ski team in the 1940’s; he was the first person to design a one-piece ski suit. He went on to produce swimwear with his knowledge of stretch fabrics and set-up a haute couture house on the island of Capri which was a destination for the international jetset during the 1940’s-1960’s. By the early 1950’s he was receiving international recognition and winning notable fashion awards.  By the 1960’s his fans included Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Jackie Kennedy.

Although his talent and career cover a wide range of accomplishments he is perhaps most known for his psychedelic and geometric prints which have inspired so many designers in the past and continue to do so today..

Emilio Pucci Boutique in Saks Fifth Avenue which means it's made with the highest quality materials and hand-finished couture details.
