SIZE & MEASUREMENT GUIDES

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR GUIDES...

The best way to determine proper fit when purchasing vintage clothing online is to compare the measurements listed to something similar you own that fits well.

Often, with vintage items, there are no size and/or content labels attached. If there is a size label still attached, please be aware that vintage sizes do not correlate to modern sizes so it is very important to refer to the measurements. Also, with full skirt dresses, measurements below the waist are not as relative in determining sizes as they are with more modern day items.

M e a s u r e m e n t s: measurements listed are ''actual'' measurements of the item, taken flat on the outside and doubled. We do our best to provide you with accurate measurements; however, because there are different factors that may affect the final measurement of each item i.e. design (strapless bodices, dolman, or raglan sleeves, kimono, or surplice bodices etc.), material, the amount of tension placed on the garment by different individuals taking the measurements etc. the measurements (although not often) may vary slightly.  If even the slightest variance in measurements is crucial to you, please communicate with us and we will be happy to provide you with any additional information you need PRIOR to purchase. With clothing, please consider your individual comfort and/or willingness to get alterations and compare measurements accordingly.
