true vintage 1960's couture BEGED OR super soft leather (lambskin) mod scooter skorts jumpsuit in a fab madras plaid!

Beged Or was Israel’s most famous fashion house and one of the finest leather couturiers in the world whose customer list included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis amongst many other high profile women.

Beged Or was founded by Leslie Fulop, who escaped from Hungary during World War II. They courted the carriage trade and upper middle class in the United States until they were sold in 1981 during a time when Israeli companies felt that they had to forgo high-quality crafting  in favor of mass production. It was said that, “There wasn’t a good store in the world that didn’t carry Beged Or.”

CONDITION:

excellent- appears to have been hardly worn and stored well. upon close scrutiny i found one tiny pin hole in bodice and possibly a few tiny very faint spots that are hard to see. price adjusted accordingly.
